New 1st Team Manager Appointed

The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Ingle as the new Manager of Arnold Town Ladies First team. Andy brings a wealth of experience to the Club and is looking forward to working with the senior squad. Over the last couple of years he has finished 4th (with Real Utd Ladies FC) and last season, 3rd in the East Midlands Women’s Regional League Premier division with Eastwood Community Ladies FC as well as consistently reaching the quarter final stages in cup competitions. His record as a manager is outstanding having lost only 89 games out of 270 with 156 wins. He started his coaching career at Hucknall Rolls Royce moving from girls football and into the senior leagues before taking over as manager at Real United FC. After establishing a strong competitive side, the team was rebranded as Eastwood Community Ladies FC.
He replaces Richard Povey who has been managing the team since July 2014 and says “when I took over the side I knew that my main role was to keep the team in the East Midlands Women’s Premier division and despite having a small, inexperienced squad that was achieved. Having done that the Club is now on the up. I am delighted that Andy has offered me the assistant manager’s role and having the experience of Andy at the Club can only help me, and, more importantly, help the players move on to the next level. I’m confident that between us we will get improved performances from our young squad.”
Andy will start immediately and his first game in charge will be the First team’s FA Women’s Cup 2nd round qualifying match away to Ruddington on Sunday, kick off 2pm.
