Flyers Vs Hucknall Town

Flyers opened their season with an away fixture against Hucknall Town Ladies, which was set to be a warm one!
The Flyers were punished for their slow start with a long range shot from Hucknall taking them into the lead.
Fortunately this gave the Flyers the wake up call they needed, which allowed them to start settling into the game. This was rewarded from a goal by Jacee, after the squad were creating chances to push for their equaliser!
The ladies continued putting pressure on, but Hucknall responded well and found a second. Flyers went into the 2nd half 2-1 down, until a powerful run by right-back Ellie G put a strike at the edge of the box into the bottom corner, to once again level the game!
The Flyers pushed to create chances and were rewarded before the final drinks break with 3 goals, each by Jacee, Chloe C and Geo - putting the Flyers into the lead for the first time in the game.
The home team found 2 late goals, as the Flyers took their foot off the gas, taking the game to 4-5. But fortunately, the Flyers held on until the end to clinch all 3 points!
The ladies look on to next weekend, where they are back on home turf!
