Fab four fall just short

Arnold Town ladies were able to field four teams at todays football tournament in Calverton. A few late pull outs meant that each team played the 7-a-side matches without subs but battled on to give a great showing.
The 4 teams, Arnold town, Arnold Maroon, Arnold White and Arnold Blue were made up of senior players, last years under 18s and under 16s but competed well against teams with much more experience and a stronger physical presence. At the end of the group stages Arnold Town only missed out on making the plate semi-final on goal difference to Ruddington and Arnold Blue were 1 win away.

There was extra spice with the Whites facing the Maroon side (0-1) and Arnold Town V Arnold Blue (1-0) in the group stages.
A really good run out for everyone especially in the heat. Thank you for all those who took part and for the coaches and parents that supported the players throughout.
