The FA have issued the following statement:
COVID 19:
Expect tighter restrictions & guidance over the next few days.
Please note The FA cannot hand out Sanctions against Clubs or individuals, any breaches are POLICE Matters.
Calverton FC is a Charter Standard Community Club and expectations from the leagues are very highbecause of this status. The Senior committee and the Welfare Trustees formulated a Covid committee to advise on what we as a Club should be doing to protect our players and supporters. Following the news this week that Nottingham has the highest rates in the UK, we have taken the following steps which will be reviewed regularly.
All teams must continue with current guidelines i.e. sanitising goals, corner flags etc, ensuring all spectators are socially distancing and signing in using the NHS QR code or mobile number etc. None of our other guidance has changed, and along with our risk assessments can be found here:
https://www.calvertonmwfc.co.uk/d/documents.html?group_id=15361
However, we are advising that with immediate effect only one parent per player will be allowed at pitch side, this is to reduce the number of contacts on Kinton’sField. This is not a decision we have come to easily as our primary objective is to have our children supported and encouraged by their families. This decision will stand over the Half term period and will be reviewed by the Covid Committee on Wednesday 28th October.
Managers – please ensure your parents and your opposition is aware of this “Rule” at Calverton. As the FA said we cannot enforce sanctions but we hope people will adhere to this for their own safety and that of others.
Thank you for your co-operation in helping football to continue during this pandemic
