1st Team New Signings

Arnold Town Ladies first team manager Andy Ingle has been busy over the summer creating a squad that will be more competitive and continue the progress made from last season. Many people felt that Andy would bring a host of former players into the club in order to achieve the goals that he has set, however he has been pleasantly surprised by the talent already in the club as well as players that contacted the club for pre-season trials.
It is with great excitement that we can introduce the first 2 players that have signed for the first team, as Mollie Rowden and Chrystal Smiley. Both played for the under 16's and under 18's last season and have really fitted in well regardless of their age. It is a real pleasure to bring young players from within the club up to this level said manager Andy Ingle. "Both have the ability and desire to succeed in this league and are a credit to the coaching set up here at Arnold and follow in the footsteps of the majority of the squad who have been at Arnold most of their footballing career"
With international clearance now confirmed, we also would like to welcome Polish midfielder Magda Bytnar. Having played for various sides in her native Poland, she contacted the club looking to continue her football in Nottingham and straight away it was clear that she is a very talented addition to the squad. Comfortable in defence or midfield, she seems to have time on the ball, an eye for a good pass as well as an aerial threat from set pieces.
We have also duel signed Derby County Ladies Reserve Team central defender Holly Chalmers. However it was clear in Manager Andy Ingles eyes that there was more to her game and moved her into a more attacking midfield / forward position which has been a revolation in pre-season. Having scored 2 on her debut she followed this up with another 2 away at Leicester City Ladies. Strong and skill full she certainly has an eye for goal and has formed an excellent partnership with Molly Parker already.
Finally, whilst not new to the squad as she made her debut last season at home to Kettering, Jay Willows has put a full preseason in and seems to be reaping the rewards as she looks fitter and stronger everyday and scored the first goal in our away win at Burton Albion Ladies last month with a fantastic free kick. Her set plays have also made the side a more dangerous threat with 2 assists to her name also.
